About our monthly meetings

Meeting information:
You are invited to attend one of our meetings. The meetings are for everyone with an interest in computers. This includes beginners through experienced users; anyone who wants to learn more and/or share their knowledge. As a visitor, you are welcome to attend a meeting as our guest. We invite you to join in both the general discussions and the Educational Workshops - Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

We are meeting July 14th, after that we don’t meet until September 8th so come bring your questions and have a fellow member help you with your computer problem

Meeting information for June 9th, 2008

Bob will be our quest speaker this coming Monday night. Bob would like to share his experience with a personal data base program (encrypted of course), which will track all your hard to remember items such as serial numbers, addresses, etc., for you. And in time for the summer picnic photo season, Bob will also be showing us how simple it is to make slideshows using his Apple Mac software

Meeting Information for April 14th 2008

We are currently trying to have Apple come out and speak to the club within the next two months on their new products and operating system (one that works, unlike another one we all know). Also, our club webmaster John Goliash will be putting together a talk on what happens when you visit a web site; all the private information you pass along without even knowing that you are doing it.

Meeting Information for March 10, 2008

Our past President, Larry Horn, has won several trips to Disney World and California, a new Alien computer, as well as other prizes by entering contests on the Internet. He will be presenting information on how he did it and the potential pitfalls you will encounter.

The next meeting will be March 10th, at 7:00 pm at the Witherspoon Building located at 499 Route 70 East, Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Directions can be found at

Monday, Febuary 11th, 2008 @ 7:00PM

This meeting will be a FREE FOR ALL!!! That’s right; A FREE FOR ALL!!! What the heck do I mean by that? Come and find out. It will be linked to our speaker’s subject for the night. And it is something our great webmaster, John Goliash, put together for a door prize. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!!

January 14th, 2008 - Roy Abbate of Batteries Plus

Coming in January, our speaker will be franchisee Roy Abbate of Batteries Plus at 1215 Route 73 North, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Batteries Plus has over 310 stores coast to coast, each staffed by battery experts can who solve your power problems and needs. Count how many devices you used or had to count on today since you woke up which run on batteries. I will tell you it’s a startling number.

December 10th, 2007 - Q&A

Next meeting is our annual holiday party there will be food and drinks. The meeting will be a Question and Answer session. So bring your questions and ask our experts. We give unbiased opinions on software and computer technology, just what we have learned though years of experience. Also, you are welcome to bring in your computer stuff that you are willing to part with to the meeting, we will have a table setup where people can give out and exchange computer related stuff. Note: if you bring in software to give out it should be the original disk in the box.

November 12th, 2007 - Microsoft Windows Vista

At this meeting we will talk about Microsoft Windows Vista. The new and improved (?) operating system that replaces Windows XP. If you purchase a new windows based computer, the odds are you will not have a choice in an operating system other than Vista. What are the advantages of Vista? What are the disadvantages? After nine months on the market does it live up to its hype? Why so many versions? Come out to the next meeting of the PC User’s Group of South Jersey and join the club officers as we take a look at how Vista stacks up against Windows XP.
